Infant Care

A tongue-tie occurs when the lingual frenum (webbing under the tongue) attaches in a high position which may interfere with normal tongue movement. In infancy, this may affect normal bottle or breast feeding. Our Paediatric Dentists are able to assess your infant’s tongue-tie (or lip tie) and advise whether your baby would benefit from a frenectomy. This is a simple procedure that can be performed at the initial consultation.
